This position is designed for an experienced athletics professional who brings a high degree of operational expertise and leadership capability, and who thrives in advancing operational excellence, program effectiveness, and student-athlete experience within a dynamic school environment.</p><p>Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Assistant Director of Athletics plays a critical leadership role in the planning, coordination, and execution of Ridley’s comprehensive athletics program. The role is accountable for the effective day-to-day operation of competitive and recreational sport programming, including scheduling, events, travel logistics, facilities coordination, equipment management, and systems oversight, while ensuring compliance with school policies, league regulations, and risk management protocols.</p><p>The Assistant Director works closely with coaches, facilities staff, and cross-campus partners to deliver a safe, well-organized, and high-quality athletics experience. This includes providing operational guidance to coaching staff, supporting financial and budget processes, contributing to the planning and delivery of major athletic events and championships, and serving as a site supervisor when required to ensure continuity of operations and adherence to policy.</p><p>Athletics is a core component to Ridley’s holistic educational experience. Built on a community-oriented philosophy, our boarding houses foster individual character development, promote personal growth, and inspire students to lead flourishing lives within a community. The boarding aspect of the Ridley education results in a student body that understands and believes in themselves, having developed “wellness for life”.&nbsp;</p><p>An AHOH will share in the responsibility for the general welfare, safety, pastoral care and personal development of the boarding students (Grade 9-12).&nbsp; These positions are actively working during an academic school year (late August to end of June).&nbsp; This position is a two-year term commitment with options to extend for additional terms.&nbsp; During each year, the AHOH will be required to provide supply teaching coverages in the Upper, Middle or Lower School. During the 2nd and subsequent years, 1 teaching section or equivalent may be provided for candidates with a Bachelor of Education degree.</p><p>The AHOH will be accountable for the following:</p><p>•<span> </span>Scheduled evening duty shifts from 7pm-12am (2 nights a week) and alternating weekends.</p><p>•<span> </span>Attend all House meetings and Chapel weekly.</p><p>•<span> </span>Advisor for Grade 9 students meeting weekly and following a set curriculum.</p><p>•<span> </span>Coach two terms of sport.
